In near mint condition, stamped “THE MIDGET”, no mushrooming, no cracks, no chipping. Covered in a nice even patina, nice blade, all edges are very nice. Rather than being a Kent pattern, it is like a miniature version of the large felling axes being made in England at the time, (probably how it got its name). This has hung on my axe display wall for many years now, I have periodically put linseed oil in the eye to keep the handle tight. This is an excellent example of a blacksmith made axe that would be a great addition to any vintage tool Collection.

*this is the first time this axe will be sold in Nz marketplace, as is the case with 99% of my axes. have gathered most from the uk and USA over the past 15 years.

I will be letting go of quite a large percentage of my axe and hatchet collection here on trade me, all types of patterns and origins and quality's (from mint to Rusty). There will be both with and without handles and some very nice handles by them selves. will not be doing pick ups, so post only. And payment by bank transfer within 3 days of auction ending.
