Hand forged pair of fire tongs for holding flat stock.

The round upset on the inside of the jaws is based on a farrier design and provides extra grip. Also useful for the bladesmith for forging knife blades.

On purchase, let me know what stock thickness you want these tongs to hold, from sizes 5, 8, 10, 10, 12 & 16 mm and I will make them to order.

Approx 300 mm long. Made to last a lifetime from 1018 steel which can withstand repeated quenching in water. Blacked off in the fire with a wax/oil finish.

As with all of my tongs, each set is individually crafted and may not be exactly identical to the example photos shown, but very close to it.
