Approx measurements: Blade: 110mm Butt to blade: 155mm Handle: 340mm Weight: 1kg / 2.2 lbs

Stamped with the Shamrock “WMS” stamp “2 1/2lbs” “W MARPLES AND SONS” on both sides. “STEEL HEAD” stamped on the butt end / pole.

Very rare double sided stamped 2 1/2lbs W Marples and sons Kent pattern axe with original handle. Stamps are in nice condition. This is a great collectors piece. No cracks. Beautifully aged patina. I have not restored this axe in any way, I have only given it a light scrub with fine steel wool to remove surface rust after I bought it many years ago.

*this is the first time this axe will be sold in Nz marketplace, as is the case with 99% of my axes. have gathered most from the uk and USA over the past 15 years. I will be letting go of quite a large percentage of my axe and hatchet collection here on trade me, all types of patterns and origins and quality's (from mint to Rusty).
