This vintage tin containing a few sheets of gold leaf and a sable brush for their application was owned by a business that framed pictures & mirrors etc . Its at least 75 years old, if not older . The tin has some paint stains on it . Inside there are some sheets of genuine gold leaf in 2 booklets ( please note that theres only a few pages left ) as well as a couple of loose sheets that were for lettering . Its my understanding that sometimes on landscapes or family portraits the family name or location etc was lettered on in gold leaf .
