A very unique and rare tinned metal English bulldog poppy 3-part metal chocolate mould made for Emericks Confectionery shop in New York which closed down several decades ago. This was made by the well known Eppelsheimer & Co. manufacturing company who were the largest and most well known metal mold manufacturer for chocolatiers in the U.S.A. Eppelsheimer was acquired by American Chocolate Mold Co. in 1947 and they continued to make metal chocolate and ice cream I moulds.

Dating to the 1920 / 1930 post Victorian era before the industry moved to nickel-clad steel (electroplated sheet), tougher than tin and didn’t require re-tinning.

Vintage antique metal with minimal age marks. Seams align; designed with a hinge along the centre top, a bottom plate inscribed Emericks and a rolling clasp to secure when filling. Condition inside is mostly shiny meaning you can still make impressive treats for your kids instead toys. As with all antique molds: wash, dry thoroughly, and consider a light cocoa-butter pre-coat before chocolate use.
