This Honey Bee painting is part of my Unbeelievable Bee Series, inspired by the mighty Bee.

The painting is in colours of olive, green colours with a metallic gold bee in flight, making a b-line for it’s hive. Depending on the light, you’ll catch a shimmer of gold almost like the wings are moving.

This painting was inspired by the b lines, which are a series of ‘insect pathways’ running through our countryside and towns. They link existing wildlife areas together, creating a network, like a railway, that weaves across the landscape.

Bees are crucial to the planet as they pollinate nearly three quarters of the plants that produce 90% of the world's food.

It's incredible really, that tiny wee bees are holding our world together, and how good they are to us humans.
