This painting was inspired by a piece that I saw at a random party. The host was a friend of my partner and I didn't really know them personally so I spent most of the time just sitting on a couch and people watching. On the wall opposite me was a painting that the host or one of their family members had done. It was of a group of women dancing in a forest with stars glowing behind them. Truly a beautiful picture. Their skirts reminded me of jellyfish, floating up through the water column. Once I had that thought in my head, I couldn't stop thinking about it until I had it on canvas.
