Description
Three Amsterdam engravings/etchings with condition issue - they have some gentle creasing. Perhaps having professionally framed may help remedy or improve this. They are in a rolled up state.
The engravings have the detail of each, underneath the images. Pieter Fouquet Jnr(1729-1800) an art dealer, from 1760-1783 commissioned famed Amsterdam draughtsmen to produce drawings of local Amsterdam scenes and had engravings produced of them. The first group were published in 1760 and these three are of that group. The drawings are by Jan de Beyer(1703-c1785) and the engraver Paul van Liender(1731-1797). It is recorded that the two often worked together.
The printed engravings(incl detail) measure 37cm by 30cm and the pages themselves 52cm by 44cm.
