This wonderful 1990s frame was a one off for a Gavin Chilcott work, which I have re-framed.

It was done by Paul Craig who was the go-to guy for artisanal framing in Wellington, but who has now closed his has closed his framing outfit in Newtown. I spoke with Paul about the frame – it’s aluminium leaf over hand brushed gesso in an arresting organic one-off shape. “A bit of bling” is what he said.

Frame is 30mm thick, 1120mm at widest point and 940mm at highest point. See pix for more dimensions.

You may have an artwork that needs to meet this frame (the glass is intact). Or it would be a fantastic mirror or noticeboard frame for a confident and interesting interior.

I had a quote for a mirror "835x640 $80 GST incl - put into frame +say $30".

Pick up, if preferred, is downtown Auckland. Happy to courier but can't guarantee the safety of the glass, and the dimensions mean that a specialist art mover might be the best bet.
