Description
A splendid signed 1947 etching/engraving, featuring two horses pulling a plough which is being guided by a strong man in a hat, with seagulls flying just behind and what appears to be a flock approaching in the distance. The artist has signed and dated in the bottom right corner and the artwork is held in a specially crafted wooden frame.
Unfortunately, I cannot decipher the signature sufficiently to identify the artist, however, I'm hopeful somebody will be able to do so and advise. Irrespective, this is a very fine work, with an interesting subject and composition.
The visible etching/engraving measures 32cm by 14cm(the frame 43cm by 26cm), it's protected behind glass, in good condition and ready to hang.
