Description

An original pencil signed vintage/antique limited edition(21/75) etching by Charles Herbert Clark(1890-1950).

The etching is of a substantial building that I don't recognise and there is a winged-lion shield/crest in the bottom left corner. Perhaps somebody will recognise one or the other.

The artist who signs his works "Chas H Clark" studied at the City School of Art, Liverpool and Royal Academy Schools. He exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, the "national gallery of the north" of England. I have come across a number of his original limited edition etchings and they invariably feature architectural buildings such as this example.

The etching measures 29.5cm by 17.5cm(the frame 41cm by 27cm), it's protected behind glass and ready to hang. The condition is good and appropriate to age with some minor spotting.
