Kintsugi is a Japanese art form – repairing broken objects and accentuating the cracks with gold. The idea in that the breakage does not signify the end of the objects' life, but becomes an important moment in its' history. The cracks and chips are not hidden or obscured – but seen and honoured.
This lovely glass-framed piece displays a rustic slate stone interlaced with kintsugi. Perfect for wall-hanging or to situate on a shelf.
