We need to declutter, so we have available a number of pieces that have been collected over the past 40+ years.

This is a print by Doris Gingingara purchased from Outstations Australia around 30 years ago.

Biography Doris Gingingara (1946 – 1999) created a unique body of work based on her Arnhem Land heritage combined with her detailed observations of the bush and the natural world around her. Doris Gingingara’s preferred method of working was to use a range of ink marker pens on paper. With these she created a rich palette of warm colours and formed intricate patterns made using bands of colour.

Doris Gingingara’s own experience was diverse, growing up in the northern coastal community of Maningrida, then living in Darwin and finally moving to outback Western Australia, after the devastation caused by Cyclone Tracy in Darwin. In all these environments, Doris Gingingara was intrigued by the patterns and detail found in nature, and created her own stories wrapped around what she observed in nature.

The size of the print is 40cm wide x 30cm high.

It is in a black frame 58cm wide x 47cm high.

The frame has glass to protect the print but it makes it a little hard to take pictures of it.

The frame has a few marks where the black paint has chipped off but that is easily fixed. The print itself is in excellent condition.

Please do not ask us to use NZ Post or another courier or reduce the price as this reflects the cost of packaging and courier fees.
