Capsule and base were purchased separately, both were second hand. In good condition, never been in an accident. I've disassembled and taken photos to show that there are no cracks in the shell or polystyrene. Have machine washed the cover.

Our daughter (a bit smaller than average) fitted the capsule for 12 months before it was time to move to a toddler car seat, and others in our antenatal group moved when their baby was 6-8 months, so these will both have one more use in them before the base hits its expiry date.

The ISOFIX base is more secure than the one secured with a seatbelt, assuming your car has ISOFIX hooks (most cars since 2007 do, and all since 2014 do).
