I bought this very sturdy Touchwood solid timber cot 7 years ago to use when our grandchildren stay. The mattress was new and has no marks or stains. Always used with a mattress protector that is included along with a fitted bottom sheet, duvet cover, inner, pillowcase and pillow. The cot has a front sliding rail which makes it really easy to lift children in and out. The front rail comes off so it can be used as a toddler bed and the mattress height can be adjusted to bassinet height. There is a big storage drawer underneath the cot for storing bed linen, blankets etc. There are a few minor marks on it but no chew marks. It has been a great sturdy cot. Comes from a smoke free home, we have a little dog but she has never been allowed in the babies room.
