The Fearsome Doctor Fang is a six-issue mini-series from TKO Studios, written by Tze Chun (known for Gotham and Once Upon a Time) and Mike Weiss (The Mentalist), with art by Dan McDaid (Judge Dredd) and colors by Daniela Miwa (Shaft).

Set in 1906 San Francisco, the story kicks off with a stolen occult artifact and a chase that spirals into a globe-trotting mission. What begins as a hunt for a criminal mastermind turns into a twisty tale of mistaken identity, ancient secrets, and high-tech weaponry. Doctor Fang, initially feared as a villain, is revealed to be an undercover agent trying to prevent a catastrophic awakening of ancient power. Think Indiana Jones meets Sherlock Holmes, with a dash of steampunk flair.

Dan McDaid’s artwork is a kinetic blend of gritty pulp and clean storytelling. His panels are packed with detail — from earthquake-ravaged San Francisco to ornate Chinese airships — and his expressive linework gives the characters a classic adventure vibe. Miwa’s coloring adds depth and atmosphere, shifting from fiery chaos to shadowy intrigue with cinematic flair.
