This is just one of a selection of antique and vintage New Zealand written and published book I will be selling over the next few weeks. Also selling some very old and rare books from NZ and overseas. I am no a book dealer , so no I cannot grade them. I will add photos and answer any sensible questions. These books are not new , in some case up to 125 years old. They will not be perfect , but it depends on your reason for collecting. some have dust jackets , others not , some are ex libris , some have previous owners details.

In this important contribution to New Zealand’s transport history, Edgar McLeod Lovell-Smith relates how coaching companies operated in the Otago and Southland areas until the late 1870s. Lovell-Smith has recorded the competition, struggles, incidents and accidents – the tragic, humorous and even courageous.
The author was a commercial artist, born in Christchurch and schooled in his trade in London.
