Training on Hurricanes completed the posting as a fighter pilot was to 43 Squadron , the legendaryFighting Cocks at Tangmere , Sussex.
Covering the Allied advance from Algiers to Tunis was followed by sorties from Malta & the campaign in Sicily . A hospital radio broadcast Italys surrender .
