These are good skills to have no matter how you approach the river these days. Hw spins a good yarn about his experiences with his clients while guiding on the Tongariro River, well worth reading. The Complete Taupo Fishing Guide by Peter Gould is a great book to have when discovering the Taupo lakes and rivers, He has crammed a lot of info into this publication, and has covered a lot of ground around the lake. The book is in very good condition with a good dust jacket. John Parsons book A Fishermans Year . This book takes the reader month by month through the fishing in New Zealand and also in his home waters in Kent in England. The book is interesting, instructional and entertaining and written with his usual flair. A good beside book! John Parsons other book A Taupo Season is a collection of his stories from fishing around the country throughout a year. Splitting it up into autumn, Winter, spring and summer. This is a true bedside book and he calls it that. You can stop and start as time allows and find each chapter a good read. published in 1979. A first edition.
