full calf, spine sunned, rear board loose, hand coloured portrait frontis of Williams, loose hand-written note of thanks, dated 1855, old staining to prelims and TP.

Describes Williams' 20 years of ministry in the South Pacific on the islands of Tahiti, Cook Islands, Samoa, and Society Islands. Williams' life ended in 1839 on Erromango, the New Hebrides, where he was killed and eaten by cannibals.
