This is just one of a selection of antique and vintage New Zealand written and published book I will be selling over the next few weeks. Also selling some very old and rare books from NZ and overseas. I am no a book dealer , so no I cannot grade them. I will add photos and answer any sensible questions. These books are not new , in some case up to 125 years old. They will not be perfect , but it depends on your reason for collecting. some have dust jackets , others not , some are ex libris , some have previous owners details.

The Boy Colonists. Or Eight Years Of Colonial Life In Otago, NZ. Rev Simeon Elwell , first edition. Published 1878. Printed in UK. This book will still sound is very old and needs some love. Some sections have seperated from binding. . An account of two English boys in Otago New Zealand from 1859 to 1867. The text was expanded from a contemporary diary. It gives a good account of Papakaio, Omarama, and other runs at the period of the gold rush giving an interesting insight of the hard work, rough conditions they encountered.
