The HES(R) electric strike is designed for use with cylindrical locksets in hollow metal door frames. An electric strike controls access by either holding or releasing a latch bolt. Field selectable fail-safe or fail-secure. A fail-safe electric strike needs power to remain locked. A fail-secure electric strike remains locked even without power. Device prevents entry; a doorknob or lever on the lock allows for egress.
