Sliding Gate Opener DIY Installation code: SGO-SS-DIY24B

IMPORTANT: For use with gates installed on level ground only! Gate can be max. 6m long.

Plug the power box with the step-down transformer into the nearest power point and take a low voltage cable (24VAC) to the gate yourself. No trenching necessary as cable does not have to go underground like a 230V/AC cable. Take the cable along a fence or where it is most practical for you. This way you can get power to the gate from up to 50m and more without trenching.

An ideal and simple solution for residential applications where mains is not available at the gate.

This is a quality motor with all metal gear. They don't make them much better! The rigid aluminum cast motor chassis will last for years. Watch out, there are now motors on the market with plastic parts, including components like the cog or the motor chassis. With the typical back and forth of a gate motor, material fatigue and everyday stress might reduce the service live of such motors considerably. A “plastic motor” can be cheaper but might not last very long!
