This yurt is a real beauty that shares all the comforts of home, upper structure is made from douglas fir, and the flooring and frames are from NZ pine. It is just begging for someone to take it up as a project and to set it up somewhere beautiful. Fantastic bnb opportunity, holiday getaway or even as a home. In my opinion it is very lord of the ringsy. The original make really wanted this yurt to feel like home.

The lattice structure, doors, windows and rafters were handmade in whangarei by a yurt builder who moved to austrailia before he could complete it. We picked this up as a project with intention to live in it but have since decided not too...as our family has grown we couldnt possibly live in it now. So thank you for viewing this wonderful tent.

We have scanned this yurt frame while it was all set up, so if you are savvy with design tools like rhino we could pass you the scan for free with the auction.

The Canvas that comes with the yurt is a BRAND NEW roll of Khaki colored 2.04m wide x 50m long DX12 from Contender. Which is 101m2 of fabric. This is on the market from NZ websites such as canvas.co.nz for $75 a m2. I am not 100% sure on whether this is too much or too little canvas for the entire project. Given the foot print is only 25.5m2 it should be fairly close!

The yurt also comes with a decent amount of bubble insulation lining, and polycotton heavy canvas for the interior. I do think more of this will need to be acquired to fill out the entire yurt.

The centrepiece is made using yurt builder techniques, it is fairly heavy and very pretty. It comes with a fitted acrylic dome which can be opened and closed from underneath.

The flooring is a pizza shape design and is made so the yurt is super portable if needed to be. It can then be permanently installed on piles. Flooring is all rough sawn treated NZ timber for strength and the idea is to cover it with something nicer on the feet.
