Regarding Type 3 Sata Cable: With only a 10 Pin and 14 Pin on the PSU end, our Corsair type 3 cables have been tested for the yellow label RM units, HX gold, and HXi power supplies. This pinout shares the same wiring configuration as the type 4 cables, except for the 24 Pin. For newer Corsair power supplies, please refer to the type 4 pinout. This pinout has two double wires in total. One resides on the 24 Pin, and the other is found on the PCI-E cable.

Regarding Type 4 Sata Cable: Corsair’s type 4 pinout succeeds the type 3 pinout with an updated 24 Pin cable. Now featuring additional sense wires, the 24 Pin will require a 10 Pin and 18 Pin connector. The other cables remain unchanged from the previous generation. The pinout has five double wires in total. Four double wires are present on the 24 Pin, with the remaining one on the PCI-E cable.
