This Backplane allows direct connection to the motherboard via 3 SFF-8087 ports. Ports are SAS compatible when used with a SAS HBA or Raid card.
Being direct connect SAS3 (12GB/s) speeds are supported when used with a SAS3 HBA or Raid card.
Comes as pictured and is designed to go into any SuperMicro cases with 12 drive bays in the front or rear (826/847)
