This special pair of korowai has been lovingly woven over eight months to embody the essence of connection, unity, and aroha. Designed as a set for a couple — for marriage, partnership, or shared milestones — they can also be treasured individually.

? The Tane Korowai – Strong and striking, woven from cotton with black hukahuka partially adorned with black huruhuru (rooster feathers). A bold expression of strength and grounding.

? The Wahine Korowai – Graceful and luminous, featuring silver hukahuka accented with white huruhuru (chicken feathers) for softness and elegance.

Both are adorned with taniko bands based on kowhaiwhai scroll motifs, enriched with mawhitwhiti detailing at the top, and finished with plaited cords for fastening — symbolising connection and strength. The inside finishing has also been carefully plaited to hold the cord with beauty and durability.

Together, these korowai are named “Kotahitanga” (Unity) — representing two individuals bound together, side by side, in strength and love.
