Get your hands on a bit of spinning wheel history. This is an Ashford Saxony scotch tension only spinning wheel. It dates from the original start of Ashford in the 1940s and is probably one of the later ones towards 1945. The original flyer is missing and I have used more modern Ashford parts to create a working wheel. The standard Ashford bobbins are a smidgen too long so I have cut back four standard Ashford bobbins to enable the wheel to be used. It spins beautifully as the video in this collection of files attests:

(I don’t normally spin that fast-I do that to show that the wheel is very stable even at high speeds.) Pickup is best (free) but I am willing to drop this off to a depot of your choice in Hamilton for a $10 handling fee. Please arrange your own shipping with a carrier of your choice. Wise Move (https://www.wisemove.co.nz/) is an excellent place to start. Wait for a few quotes to come in before you make your choice. Pack and Send are also very good - they pack extremely well for safety and ship quickly but they are probably a bit more expensive.
