Description This solid Totara slab was sourced from a certified supplier in Northland and has been air-dried for over 10 years at our Kumeu yard. Originally prepared for a custom project for an Italian client, it is now available at a reduced price as part of our clearance stock. A rare opportunity to secure premium New Zealand native timber.
Optional Kiln Drying We can kiln-dry this slab to 10 to 12 percent moisture content for an additional $100. Drying will be completed at our Kumeu kiln facility.
About Totara Wood Totara (Podocarpus totara) is one of New Zealand’s most prized native hardwoods. Known for its reddish-brown tones, straight grain, and excellent workability, it was traditionally used by Maori for waka (canoes), carvings, and structures. Its durable heartwood is ideal for high-end interiors and custom furniture.
