About Black Maire * Density up to ~1,200 kg/m³ — one of the heaviest NZ timbers * Extremely hard-wearing and naturally rot-resistant * Rich dark chocolate to purplish-brown colouring with tight grain * Perfect for fine furniture, carving, high-end joinery, or specialty craft projects

Timber sourced over 10 years ago from a licensed supplier for our native timber furniture project then air dried ,the Moisture Contents is around 20% .
