Approx. 72 linear metres of genuine Ancient Swamp Kauri, kiln-dried for stability. This lot was sawn from a single prehistoric log with a naturally curved shape — each board shares similar grain flow and gentle curvature, giving a beautifully consistent appearance when used together.

Swamp Kauri is a heritage wood, buried in the Northland swamplands for up to 45,000 years. While perfectly workable, it is not the same as freshly cut living timber.

Many pieces naturally contain cracks, tension, or movement in the grain.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, requiring patience and respect when crafting.
The true beauty of Swamp Kauri lies in its prehistoric character, not in perfection.
