Description
8 inch dobsonian telescope bought from astronz several years ago.
If you're looking for a first telescope I would highly recommend a dobsonian. Very intuitive to use, much easier than an equatorial mount. I've added a few images of pictures I've taken with the telescope.
I believe these models have a 1200mm focal length, 200mm aperture at F6. Planets still appear fairly small, but you can make out a lot of details on Jupiter, polar caps on Mars, and the rings of Saturn.
Finder scope mount has a broken screw that I will endeavor to replace.
Telescope will come with a couple of eye pieces.
Selling as I am wanting to buy another telescope that is better suited for astrophotography.
Pick up from Hamilton or Te Kauwhata. Could probably deliver around Hamilton or Te Kauwhata for a small fee.
