Skywatcher 150mm f/8 Evostar Doublet Refractor

Jacobs has this scope at $5845.00, saying its a special order but I think it may be discontinued with the EX version still available at $8880.00

I am the second owner and paid $4000 and added a powered Moonlite focuser ($1800) than comes with a battery powered hand controller, and prima luce lab rings and a losmandy dovetail totalling over $700.

With the moonlite fitted the back focus is increased and you can use binoviewers like the maxbright II without GPCs fitted.

Its a great scope for visual.

Supplied with the original aluminium case and the original rings and green vixen dovetail is also included. The case is massive on its own and fairly heavy.

There are a couple of light scratches that don’t affect performance in any way. I have tried to photograph them. The lens is very clean.

These scopes are fairly long at over 1100mm so you probably need a AM5 or a skywatcher EQ6 sized mount to drive it. EQ5 might be a little undersize.

No mount or tripod offered. This is an OTA.
