A bloody good place to start.

If you're looking to begin a journey in photography then this is a great starting point. Easy to use, but capable of competition winning results (see pics). 24 megapixels, compact and lightweight but with the same internals as Canons midrange APSC mirrorless cameras all driven by an easy to use flip up touch screen. Perfect for progressing from full auto to manual control of your settings (nowhere near as intimidating as you might think). 15-45mm lens is suitable for landscape and portraits (though the 22mm EF-M lens is highly recommended and reasonably priced). I love this little camera, and would love to keep it but the astrophotography bug has well and truly bitten (yes this can do really decent astro landscapes and star trails) so selling to buy my next lens. Comes with body, 14-45 lens, caps, charger, spare Canon battery ($100 itself) a Peak Design wrist leash and a Crumpler case. All in its original packaging. Great condition, and functionally perfect with only a few hundred activations on the shutter (no direct count on this body, but less than a half gig card of raw files - very gently used)
