These are the Rolls of professional VCRs. I bought one of these and an AG7500 brand-new for an S-VHS editing suite that worked flawlessly. This one is in cosmetically mint condition, (yep, that's it in the photos), the tape transport works like a charm — it all seems tickety-boo, except the head is no good. I had a look at it and it looks like someone "reconditioned it" with sandpaper. There's no picture, no new replacements are available, and they're complex to change. As parts machines go it's 99% awesome — except it doesn't play or record videos. The TradeMe seller that listed this usefully described it as "untested," but I've tested it, and it needs help. Buy it, or let mw know where I can find another one.
