A very nice lens with unique and classic vintage rendition.

The lens was serviced to get rid of a small amount of fungus which has now been cleaned and sterilized, but left a few light marks on the coatings around the edges of the rear glass (see last pictures). These marks are hardly noticeable to the naked eye and have no effect in picture taking at all.

Check the sample images. These have been shot with this lens via adapter ring on my Sony a7. The lens delivers high resolution images even at its max. aperture of f1.4. As expected, there is the distinctive vignetting and highlights glow while fully open, which is beautiful for portraits. The contrast comes back right after f2.8, and sharpness will only improve from there, by f5.6 the lens outruns my camera resolution (24Mp) They are corner-to-corner full frame coverage (exactly the same coverage as a 35mm Film camera), with cropped sensor cameras you can ignore the light fall-out in the corners.

The stop-down mechs and iris (8 blades) are snappy. The focusing is a tiny bit on the firm side but turns all the way from 0.45m to infinite without issues.

Comes with both genuine Olympus caps.
