Description
My ongoing down-sizing programme has now reached my two-year old Luxman Lc-380uc preamp. A fabulous piece of equipment that looks like it landed from the 1970s, but sounds very 21st Century. It has quite high output for a preamp and offers impeccable rendition of most music genres - from chamber ensembles to hard rock. Especially great mid-range, articulation of voices and 3-D depth. But also wonderful timbre and dynamic range. You can adjust the treble, bass, etc if you wish, but I don't touch the tone controls.
There are reviews in Stereophile - favourably comparing the Luxman with a Shindo Masetto - as well as in Enjoy The Music. Around $13k brand new.
Comes with remote, manual and original boxing. Happy to demo: 21646181

Is it still under warranty? m***1 (67 • 11:41 am, Thu, 1 May )The invoice from Rapallo is dated the 16th of September 2023. So, I imagine it is still covered by the original warranty, but am not sure if it is transferable. Frankly, I can't imagine it breaking down for years to come. pepper99 (69 • Thursday, 1 May 2025 )
