This is a fantastic preamp. I bought this in 2024, and am selling only because I switched to a tube preamp, and don't need two preamps.

Stunning looks, built like a tank (and weighs like one), great sonic qualities, with lots of details and dynamics, big soundstage, very impactful and musical. Class A architecture. This preamp has a DAC built in, but I was using this as a preamp only with an external DAC.

I am selling this unit as purchased a tube preamp, and there is no point in having two. I bought the Michi P5 less than year ago from a HiFi shop in Auckland.

Excellent condition, works 100%, no damages. Please note, this is the OG version, there is a P5 series 2, where they changed the DAC section from AKM to ESS chipsets (personally, I am partial to AKM chipsets).

Digital inputs are optical, coaxial and USB. Analogue connections are RCA and XLR inputs and outputs (plenty of them), phono input. It comes with a sleek remote and its original box.

My apologies for the relatively poor pictures, the front is highly reflective, and in most angles the photos showed more of the room reflection than the actual unit :)

It’s a big and hefty unit, therefore pickup in Auckland only.
