Description
This R version of the Melody SP9 amp comes with auto bias for the tubes, and a separate feed for a sub woofer . Owned this unit about 15 years, purchased new from the Melody Agent in Sydney. The amp is a genuine Aus/NZ 240 V . Cosmetic condition is very close to new with a just couple of small marks on the removable tube cage. Amp has always performed without issue . Worked well with speakers from Monitor Audio, Tannoy and my current Sonus Fabers. Rated at 50w into 8 ohms. Three switchable inputs. taps for both 4 and 8 ohms depending on speakers. Valves, 4x KT88, 4 x 6sn7 and 1x 5AR1.
Will be sold with original Melody branded tubes only and not all the others noted in previous listings.
Comes with original double boxing and inner foam surround, manual and gloves. NOTE: for some reason the 3 button remote stopped working. This will be supplied and may be an easy fix.
The amp is heavy at around 28 KG

How much to send to Palmy North 4412 stu14 (260 • 8:44 pm, Mon, 4 AugI would think around $200 depot to depot. Would be more expensive depot to home. Will have to check and get back. cooksferry (674 • Monday, 4 August 2025Depot to depot Invercargill to Palmerston North $195 with Main Freight. Not too many options from here unfortunately. If you wanted home delivery you'd have to arrange with your depot. Insurance is available for an extra $100 but with original packaging as seen in photos shouldn't be required.
