Kenwood KA-7020 (1990-93) integrated solid state stereo amplifier in good, used condition - a few minor blemishes, most notably a small nick on the front panel (see pic), but otherwise in pretty decent shape for its age. Made-in-Japan, dual transformer model with primaries wired in parallel, producing 100W per channel min RMS into 8 ohms. Powerful and very listenable amp with ample opportunity for opamp rolling if that's your thing and you know what you're doing. Got it originally as a non-runner - due in large part to the destructive effects of old, corrosive capacitor fixing glue, now common to this and other models of the era - but have since repaired and restored it to its current condition. Work done includes: --New audio and high-temp electro caps in appropriate positions throughout, except original 2x Elna For Audio 15,000uF/71Vdc main power supply caps; --Upgraded polyprop film/C0G MLC/silver mica caps in select positions, replacing metallised polyester film/ceramic disc caps; --New MOX resistors in phono/pre-amp voltage regulation circuit, replacing out-of-spec parts; --New diodes/CF resistors in speaker protection relay circuit, replacing corroded/failed parts; --New RCA input board (Tape section), replacing board with damaged sockets; --New OMRON speaker protection relays.
