PLEASE NOTE: Very rare & very high-Quality unit as new as & hardly any visible running wear! This auction is for a very rare & in the VERY BEST of condition AKAI GX-630 D-SS 4 track, 4 Head, 3 AC Motor w/ Direct Drive Capstan. Converted to 240Volt with original Imported AKAI Transformer & other new pats needed in modification process. Mod was done to AKAI original specifications by professional electronic outfit in AKL. This unit is a 4/2-track stereo Deck so not just an ordinary 4T unit which would run mostly on R & PB w/ (CH: 1,2,3,4 or as selected!) it is a Stereo unit, so it runs ¼” Tape on (Ch: 1&3–2&4) w/ play-back of any normal stereo Tape (both sides) Quad Tapes & even ½ track Tapes.

YET both of these in a config of (1&3–2&4) & if needed easily adjusted by using RCA Y-Cables. The same applies to some of the R as if you into a type of more powerful more potent ½ track R you could use the Dual config (1&3–2&4) or swap to the ½ track config of (1&2–3&4) by using simple a couple of RCA Y-Cables. In any case a lot of Options to get a preferred & suited more powerful PB & R scenario.

A unit for an Audiophile, Musician or serious Music lover looking for high Quality Analog Sounds. Like all my units I work on; this one is also fully worked-over, services cleaned IN-side Out etc. Belts, Pinch-roller fitted & it is fully setup & adjusted for performance.
