Description

Mk1 Plinius SA-250 two-channel power amplifier - 250 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms, 500W into 4 Ohms, 1,000 Watts in bridged mode single channel. Switchable bias - Class A and Class AB.

Each channel has double speaker connectors for bi-wiring. Two input choices - RCA and XLR.

This is a behemoth, 58kg, needing two people to manhandle. Pick-up only from Silverstream, Upper Hutt. I've stuck sliders onto the feet; these are easily removable as are the silicon rubber connector caps.

Bonus for pick-up - 2 x 6m XLR cables and 2 x 2m RCA cables.

No, I bought it from WT Audio in 1996 to power Acoustat Model 4s. It was serviced by Plinius' chief technician Aidan Moody in 2012. My shift to home theatre since around that time meant it had much less use. chris_slater (157) • Saturday, 9 August 2025
