Description
Akai AA-1150 from 1978. This is a fantastic 50 watts per channel (stereo) receiver from the heydays of the well build and sounding 1970's HiFi.
I've been using it in my lounge with a streamer/AppleTV and turntable. All the functions work perfectly as do the inputs. Speaking of inputs, it has phono (turntable), aux and two tape inputs. It has connections for two sets of speakers that can be selected separately or together or even switched off. There is also a 240v socket on the rear (very useful). The FM section picks up a decent signal with an external arial. The AM picks top the usual crappy stations with its built in arial.
It has an aluminium from and knobs with a wooden case that is in good condition.

How much shipping to Auckland? jo833 (341 • 3:54 pm, Wed, 6 Aug )Let's say $35, if it's much less you get the difference refunded if it's more I'll pay! Sorry, but it's a PIA as I have to fully package it to weigh and measure it for the courier service (Trademe, it's convenient and cheaper than going to the Post Office). Hope that helps and feel free to ask anything else. jspencer1 (1137 • Wednesday, 6 August 2025 )
