This is a listing for an iconic British tube amplifier, the Leak Stereo 20.

I have owned this item for the last 20 years, and it has been the primary power amp in my system. The unit functions as intended, with no issues, and effortlessly plays a wide range of music types, from Jazz to the latest modern music.

As per the photographs, there are a few blemishes, but overall, it is in lovely condition.

The beautiful and timeless tube power amplifier, the most musical and famous of the English manufacturer Leak, is a vintage classic that remains current, delivering incredible above-average performance.

This item was serviced in 2024 by Phil Roberts here in Christchurch. This included the installation of new, matching JJ EL 84 valves.

We prefer pickup; however, we are happy to ship at the purchaser's risk and expense. Weight is approx 11kg.

In addition, I am including the matching Variscope Preamp, which is in pristine cosmetic condition; however, it has an intermittent fault in the source selector switch. Although I display the units together as shown in the photographs, I actually use a high-end preamp, DAC and streamer within the cabinet.

Phil advised that the easiest way to repair would be to dedicate the selector switch to one source. But that's up to the purchaser to consider.
