Rare Audiophile WADIA 850 CD player for sale. Made in the USA.

I originally brought this to NZ from London but it has been in storage for the last ten years in a home office.

This has been fully serviced by a professional technician at SoundWaves, Auckland and the CD player is fully functioning and sounds amazing. A report can be supplied. Unfortunately the batteries in the remote control have leaked and caused damage to the remotes circuit board and would need to be replaced. A compatible replacement remote can be brought for $20 USD on eBay or the CD player can still be controlled by the units front panel.

The WADIA 850 is a large, heavy, squarish CD player with a light-sealed front-loading disc tray on its left and a display panel on its right, this showing the track/time information in fluorescent blue and the setting of the volume control in LED red. It features a Faraday-shielded AC transformer and extensive AC filtering. The 850 places the DAC/digital filter and analog circuitry inside a separate shielded compartment on the player's right.
