The SONY receiver is beautifully made with an ALUMINUM face-plate and FLAP door and the speakers are unlike any speakers I have seen before..AND the cherry on the cake ?: this sets's sound WILL impress you ..WARM and FULL BODIED..not "lean and sharp" like most micro sets.

I have just serviced this set..sadly the CD player do not take CD's any more..it just makes a mechanical noise..looks like the gears have been damaged by excessive force..the REST works great. I've resprayed the top cover. I have replaced the speakers bass drivers ( the surrounds have perished) with two BRAND NEW SIMILAR SPEC bass drivers with durable rubber surrounds that will now last a "lifetime". The whole set now have a definite WARM SOUND of its own !!
