This is an excellent DAC. Solid built, beautiful finish, outstanding sound. I had the opportunity to compare this to a few lesser DACs (Topping and the like), as well as a couple of built-in DACs and fairly pricey units (such as Hegel H590 integrated amp, Michi P5 preamp) - it wiped the floor with all of them.

I listen to acoustic as well as electronic music, and it does it all well - punchy sound, great detail, wonderful tonality. It is driving a fairly good and resolving system, and I never felt that the DAC was the bottleneck. I won't described the sound in any more detail here, as impressions are highly subjective, but you can find plenty of reviews on the internet (which are all very positive).

I used it was a DDC (Gustard U18) and more recently via LAN, connected to a ROON server - this worked flawlessly. An external clock can be connected, which apparently improves the sound further, but I have not tried this.

The unit is about 18 months old. Well taken care of. I have upgraded to the new Gustard X30, therefore I will be selling this one.
