Description
Individually built to order in Germany, the STST Motus-II competes with high-end turntables at far higher cost.
Bass quality is a standout from the STST Motus-II. Origin Live and Mutech Hayabusa currently on demo (arms and cartridges available separately). Walnut/ Carbon option pictured. Various new tonearms from The Wand, Origin Live, Supatrac Blackbird and vintage arm options SME-V, Alphason HR-100S also available: this listing is for the turntable only.
What's hidden behind the classically elegant chassis is a meticulously engineered drive and suspension system. What impresses on first hearing the Motus-II is it’s incredibly dynamic bass performance and quality, along with a neutral tonal balance and density with perfect pitch stability. Free of the nervousness of high torque low mass platter direct drive common to consumer and DJ direct drives, this hand-crafted low-torque direct drive with high mass platter is also isolated from vibration feedback problems that plague most turntables needing less than optimal elastomer or expensive isolation bases.
