Vinyl has made a huge comeback, so do yourself a favour and grab a nice vintage turntable!
Akai were one of the HiFi industry’s most well-respected manufacturers and built some amazing gear in their time.
For sale is a very nice Japanese made Akai AP-100C turntable….built during the 1970’s, when vinyl was the pinnacle of audio playback.
This 2 speed, belt driven turntable features an almost friction free, gimbal suspension tonearm, fully adjustable tracking weight & anti-skate for exact calibration adjustment.
One of the best features of this turntable is that it has an “auto – return” function, which if you’re lazy like me, is a god send. When the needle reaches the end of the record, the tonearm will automatically lift, return to its stand and the machine will shut off. No more chance of ruining your stylus by forgetting to turn off the turntable!
The 4-pole synchronous motor has plenty of torque and gets things spinning quickly. The full size (30cm) platter is also made of high-quality aluminium alloy….and I’ve clad plinth in real timber veneer.
It’s in full working order, with just a few minor blemishes and marks on the dust cover.
The turntable comes with a copy of the user manual,…and a nice Akai PC-90 cartridge/stylus …..meaning that it’s all ready to go!
$1 reserve….good luck
