Handcrafted in the USA, the VPI TNT from the late 80s is the model that put VPI Industries on the map and cemented their reputation as one of the world’s premier turntable manufacturers. Its massive, deep-black plinth is a piece of engineering art—something that would be prohibitively expensive to build in today’s market.

Mounted is the legendary SME 309 tonearm, regarded as one of the finest ever produced. With a one-piece magnesium arm tube, precision bearings, and low mass design, it delivers superb tracking and accuracy. It offers precise adjustment of VTA, VTF, and antiskate, giving you control over every detail of playback. Built on the legacy of the iconic SME 3009, the 309 is celebrated for its engineering excellence, reliability, and audiophile-level performance.

Also included is the highly sought-after VPI SDS (Synchronous Drive System)—a rare upgrade that improves speed accuracy, reduces motor noise, and makes switching between 33? and 45 RPM effortless. It ramps down motor voltage after startup, ensuring ultra-quiet operation and rock-solid performance. This unit comes complete with its original box.

This complete system comes from the original owner, who purchased this directly from VPI in the USA. We’ve inspected it, fitted a brand-new belt and fresh cartridge, and can confirm it runs whisper-quiet and sounds phenomenal.
